The ice factories are built into 20' or 40' containers and are delivered turnkey ready for connection to water and electricity.

Thanks to the reinforced machine design and excellent corrosion protection, our ice factories are ideally suited for installation in tropical climates and in salty sea air.
During operation, you do not need any personnel for machine operation due to the fully automatic and self-monitoring mode of operation. The plant consists of a PVC-coated ISO container equipped as follows:

Machine room:

includes the complete ice machine, cooling unit for the ice store (optionally also with cooling unit to store fresh goods) and the electrical control system. Heat is dissipated from the air-cooled condensers through the rear doors and mesh windows on the side walls. Non-slip floor with checker plate covering. Lighting in the engine room and ice storage available.

ZIEGRA ChipIce machine

consisting of 2 redundant production units, each with 50% of the total capacity. If the full capacity is not required, one unit can be switched off without any problems. In addition, the duplicity increases your production reliability, as only one side is affected in the event of a malfunction. This means that a minimum capacity of 50% can always be maintained.

A cooling coil is placed around the freezing cylinder, which freezes the water on its inside. The ice is continuously peeled off the inner wall of the cylinder by the screw in a very thin freezing layer and conveyed upwards. There the ice is pressed hard, refrozen, then broken and then ejected.

Ice storage

The ice produced is conveyed to the ice storage and distributed there by a fan to ensure optimum utilisation of the storage space. Ice storage made of panels with 120 mm PUR insulation. Stainless steel interior, walls and floor are connected watertight. Drainage for melting and cleaning water available. Optionally available are doors to the ice storage, which can be opened from the inside and outside, position of additional doors according to customer requirements. Removable partition behind the door.

The ice storage can also be used as a storage for fresh goods (without subdivision), alternatively for 40' containers with subdivision as storage for fresh goods and for ice. The ice storage is accessible from the outside.
